Can I leave superworms in the cage?

I'm a new owner of a juvenile beardie. I'm not sure what age he is, but I'm assuming a bit less than a year old. He is about 12 1/2 inches long right now. He is in a 36" x 12" x 18" cage with one UV light, a purple heat light, and a basking light. The temps range from 95 degrees down to about 80. I don't really have time to feed him crickets in the morning, and think that I am under feeding him for the age he is at because of that. I feed him crickets as soon as I get home (around 5) and he usually eats over 20 in that one sitting. Would it be ok if I put a dish of superworms in his tank before I left for work (since he is still asleep at this time). Any other suggestions would be much appreciated. Thanks!

If you wanna try feeding supers, you need to be feeding the smaller ones until your beardie hits the 16" mark. If they're in a dish they can't escape from then I don't think there would be any issues. However, supers can bite beardies, so be very certain they can't get out. Not to mention if they managed to escape and find a hiding place, 2 or 3 weeks later you'd have beetles runnin around in there.
