I'm just starting a dubia colony so still have questions  .. Can I feed them oxbow guinea pig food? Here's a link, http://www.petsmart.com/product/index.jsp?productId=3135800 It says no artificial preservatives, colors, or flavors. I know most people feed dog or cat food, but since the only furry pet I have is a guinea pig,I thought this would just be easier.. Is it okay, or should I just get some dog food?
Thanks!

All it basically is, is soybeans and grass. Mixed with vitamins and minerals. I wouldn't use it. It said so itself that it is low in protein and protein is the main reason people feed cat and dog food, because its high in protein.

I would just say no. I have no experience with it, and i doubt anyone else on here does, but its safe to say there are much better options to pick from.

I agree with this. Cat and dog food is used for dubia because of the high protein content. Protein helps them grow; also, if a colony is not getting enough protein, you'll begin to see adult males with nibbled/ripped wings because the other roaches will begin to eat their wings. The guinea pig food could probably be fed occasionally or mixed in with the cat/dog food, but you don't want to use it as their only food source.

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
