I think I know what the concensus will be, but I figure I might as well ask. We have thousands or crawlers in our yard, I don't spray for anything. Is it safe and/or healthy to feed Mikko nightcrawlers? I catch them for fishing. I have NOT fed him any yet, but thought I'd ask. Our crickets are dropping like flies, can't keep them alive in the cricket keeper, they turn over and start twitching within a few days.

I wouldn't feed anything from the yard, night crawlers won't necessarily hurt the dragon, red wigglers might not be a good choice regardless. However if your neighbors spray then there is a risk, pesticides are nothing you want to risk messing with. Also the mucus coating the worm produces can make eating them difficult.

In situations as this it is best to stick to the norm as it is what works, there are plenty of feeders available, and if you are after finding a cheap or free alternative, breed your own dubia roaches.

I've read countless sites and there is definately a few that say its fine to feed them night crawlers , so if your sure you or your close neighboors dont/havent sprayed anything within a couple yrs then go for it. People say that if theyve ingested the actual chemicals they themselves(the worms) would die so.

I don't see why not, if he will eat it. I tried that with my bearded dragons; they don't seem to like it. [chuckle]

i wouldn't feed him those exclusively. maybe mixed in as treats.

if your beardie really likes them he may only want to eat them and refuse everything else.

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
