Can i cut silkworms?

New Beardie here... we are figuring things out and reading this forum helps a ton.
Ive searched and cant find this answer.
Tonight we went to the local reptile store and with 1000 crickets, we got some "treat" silkworms.

Problem is,, the are about an inch long and my beardies eyes are NOT that big (apart).
can i cut the worms to feed him? a half at a time?

Im worried about impaction..

Silkworms are very soft, I wouldn't worry about cutting them. 1 inch isn't too big.

Beardies are attracted to movement so if the prey item is dead they might not go for it so, I would advise feeding him them alive if possible.
