Can Dudias make you sick ?

Can you get sick by having too much contact with the dubia roaches ? I dont know if is me but I started to feel dizzy and a wierd after going into the dubia roaches tote to get my dragon his roaches for today. I would like to see if there is knolegeable person on this matter. Sometimes I get a little hipocondriac and a little knoledge might help.

Can't really help with your problem but first what came to mind that maybe you are allergic to them or to their smell?

Thanks for the reply, I felt better after a couple of hours and I really dont know what was it. Next time I'll try to use one of those working masks contractors use and see if it works. I have my roaches container in the porch closet and there is not too much ventilation and when I open it I always feel a strong fume coming out of the tote but that is the only place I can have them right now , so I will try all the options before getting rid of them because I know my beardie loves them. Anyways thanks very much for your reply and if you think of any other option or technique you're very welcome to give it.

As an experiment I went to the tote again without protecting myself and I had the same reaction. the effects dissipate after a while but I'm conserned about my health so I guess I'll try the mask for the next time. Wierd !!!Right !!!

You should check up at doctors, prolly the best idea but do wear a mask if it makes you that sick. And I suggest you cleaning that container every week or so to prevent any diseases because roaches are carriers and could be dangerous to you that's the main reason I don't breed any feeders for my dragon

I really appreciate your interest in this thread and yes I will follow your suggestions and probably get a complete checkup. I will start cleaning the container more often and if this doesn't work I will have to stop breeding them and start buying small amounts to feed my lovable girl because she loves roaches and I dont want to make her pay because of me.

Hi, I am happy because after cleaning the roach container I dont feel anything when I go near it. It looks like I am alergic to their dropings fume ,so I am going to clean it more often then usual, but happy that I wont have to get rid of them.
