Can cat ear mites transfer to bearded dragons?

Hello!

Somehow, my indoor cat has a minor ear mite issue, so I am looking into some remedies/vet visit soon.

Can bearded dragons catch ear mites from a cat or is
it a different mite that affects them?

That's a good question, I'm not sure. Ear mites can spread quickly among cats. I haven't heard of mites spreading from a cat to a bearded dragon but I would take precautions to prevent it anyway. Certain kinds of mites can and do affect dragons. Hand washing and isolation are a good idea during your cats treatment. Look for signs of mites around your dragon and the enclosure.

Ear mites are species specific so they won't "jump" to your beardie. Revolution will get rid of them for your kitty but you'll need to follow up with ear cleaning afterwards.

A lot of ear junk can cause cats (and/or dogs for that matter) to be uncomfortable. Is there any detectable odor from his/her ears?

The vet should be able to identify & treat the specific problem(s). You may have to keep up treatment and/or regular maintenance hygiene (periodic ear cleaning). Some cats/dogs are just predisposed. Goes with the territory.

No odor thank god! It’s just dark brown and a bit gunky.
It doesnt seem to bother her that much but i will keep this post updated

Sounds familiar. It's not uncommon in dogs w/ floppy ears (harder for air to keep them dry).
When accompanied by a strong odor, it can be (not always) an indication of infection.
