can beardies have food allergies?

my little beardie brandy i think has food allergies. she has never grown well but the vet says she is healthy. she only wants to eat veggies. if i feed her a cricket or any sort of bug she vomits them back up. she is pooping really well no blockages vet checked. just seems her body cant or wont handle bugs. should i try a diffrent protein source like soy on her?. she was born end of august so she is 6 going on 7 months old. just under 12" 115g. the beardie next to her in the pic is Falkor i took this picture of them next to eachother so you all could see what i mean about the huge diffrence in size.falkor who is 5 months going on 6 18 1/2" 380g i have owned both since they were 6 weeks old or so. fed the same veggies and vitamins. same cage set ups everything any ideas?.

Have you tryed soft bodied worms? like Slik worms and Horn worms? She might just not be chewing them well. I've heard of a dragon loseing all its teeth before too, hopefully thats not the case but she wouldn't like a bug if it where still movin around after it was eaten.

tried waxies she seems revolted at the taste of them. only way she will take a bug is if i put it in her mouth and 9 out of 10 times she will spit it out. when she vomits them they are chewed really well cant hardly identify what they were. i take those back legs off the crickets too before i feed her those to make sure she wasent getting poked by the legs or something. she never vomits veggies her poo looks real good too no undigested material in it at all and she poops once a day

85 cool end 109 in the basking area i measure my temps with a acutemp digital thermometer with a probe

hmmm

this is going to sound kinda gross but have you tried feeding your dragon menced insects (pureed). Stick a bunch of crickets in a blender with some calcium dust or vita dust and make a nice cricket frappe' that you can give her via syringe?

has she ever been treated for any parasites? if so it could be that her gastr-intestinal tract is out of wack if you didnt use a probiotic (such as acidophiliz)

:shock: eeeewwwww i will have to try doing that . yes she has been treated for parasites before but we did give her acidophiliz while being treated.

do you still have the acidophiliz? try giving her a week run on that. Or you can try reptaid it may help as it has a natural appetite boost effect.
your two dont live together do they?

did you use amber technologies reptaid or zoomed Repti-aid?

What did the vet originally treat your dragon for? I was talking to a specialist im friends with about your dragon and she says it sounds like parasite infestation. So im wondering if you went for a follow on check up and fecal after the medication? What they treated for? What they treated your dragon with? And for how long?

she was treated with amber technologies reptaid and albon .1 first day then .05 for the following two days then two weeks later for three days with the albon. she came back clear but another dragon still had traces of coccidea so she was re treated along with the others too.i did meds in the morning and acidophiliz in the evening she isint due for a fecal for two weeks yet thank you for trying to help!
