I have been setting up a tank and getting the stand and canopy ready for the last couple of weeks. I wasn't really ready for a beardie just yet. The wife and kids went to petco the other day while I was at work and decided to "surprise" me. I had planned on building my own basking area and other things for the enclosure, but they just grabbed whatever was available. I definitely have some work to do, but guess I'll be doing it on the fly now. I was also waiting on a dragon from a local breeder, oh well. This one seems healthy, and very alert. Not eating alot yet, but is eating some dubia and escarole, prickly pear, and sweet potatoe. I'm going to guess about 6 weeks old, @ 5.5" long.

Right now I have:

100w Megaray MVB
75w bright white halogen on a dimmer
36" T5 6400k bulb to light the rest of the tank
Megaray 60w heat projector on a thermostat for night

Have 107F on the basking area, 88F and 22% humidity at the center of the tank, 78F on the cool end.

4 weeks and 3 inches later, Cameron seems to be doing very well. Great appetite, poops daily, and seems to enjoy getting attention from us.

Oh, he's really pretty! Love those clear colours on him!

Cam has doubled in length and is getting quite a bit thicker. Colors are a little less green after this last shed, more of a golden yellow and orange this time. About 3 months old now and 11 inches. They do grow fast.
