calcium powder...

im hoping this is the right place for this.... so, my little beardie refuses to eat her food when i put calcium powder on it... i have dusted crickets, which she won't eat anymore after eating roaches... ive dusted roaches, and she leaves them in the bowl.. doesn't touch em... so, i started trying to put it on her salads... she won't touch the salad with the powder on them... i literally have tried dusting roaches, and salad, leaving her the only option to eat calcium covered roaches and veggies and she will go the entire day w/out eating at all... what do i do about this????

It might taste weird to your beardie. I have liquid calcium for mine and I put a drop on my finger, open his mouth and drop it on his tongue, because he won't eat his veggies with calcium on it. The taste of the liquid to him is horrible but he lets me do it anyways.

I had a lot of success with rescued injured wild skinks using CalciVet solution, it's actually quite nice tasting (I tasted it when I got a drop on my finger tip by accident).
First time was the little water skink Lucky , he seemed to like it, he'd lick any spillage from the syringe and flexi plastic catheter (18G) tube off my fingers. He thrived on it.

You need to dose the animal according to it's body mass.

Can you tell us the following :
how old is she ?
how heavy is she ?
UV you have ?
basking temp ?
tank temp gradient ?
how long are the UV and basking lights on each day ?
what is the feeding schedule (times and what) ?
