So here's my question, i have flukers calcium with d3 (Phosphorus free) and it has 36% calcium and 100,000 iu/pound compared to the reptivite reptile vitamins with d3 which has a load of vitamins(i use this as a multivitamin supplement) but it only has 28% calcium and 20,000 iu/pound vitamin d3, should i buy some more calcium or is the multivitamins good enough to dust his food once a day?

You should use a calcium and multivitamin. Many companies don't mix them because apparently they dont' hold well together or something.

It is a good idea to use separate calcium with just D3 and a separate container of vitamins because they need to be given the calcium more often and the vitamins just twice a wk.

One of the main reasons we use calcium to dust insects, is to help offset the Ca:p (calcium to phosphorus) ratio of the bugs. The greens we use are used because they have a high Ca:p ratio, like twice the calcium to phosphorus. Bugs (meat) are almost all phosphorus, this is why we gutload and dust, to try to make the calcium part higher than it would be normally. This does a lot of things, but most importantly, helps balance all the vitamins the dragon eats so that the body can use them all more effectively and less goes to waste. Improper balance, or too much of one thing, can make all living things deficient in other things, even if they get enough through food and supplements. Another reason to feed a variety of bugs, greens and other things.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
