You guys cannot believe how unbelievably happy I am today.
Okay, soooo... I finally found cactus for my beardie. I found it at a little Mexican market here in Homestead, FL.
I just have a quick question... do I give it to her raw, or do I boil it and let it cool down before giving it to her?

I feed spineless prickly pear cactus pads to my beardies, iguana, and leopard tort (my neighbor has several huge plants that they don't mind me "harvesting" from occassionally which is awesome. I feed it raw and prepare it by dicing it up into the tiniest pieces (a nice, sharp knife really helps). The tort goes crazy for it, it has no problem eating huge chunks. But the beardies and iggy seem to accept it better when chopped super small and mixed in with their other greens. Opuntia is an excellent staple food--very high in calcium and lots of other good stuff. Glad you were able to find some!

Great, thanks!
My beardie eats mostly anything I give to her, so hopefully the cactus would be something else she likes :blob5:

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
