Of course, we all think that it is the right thing to do, provided you have the resources to care for her properly, which it sounds like you do. If yearning for an animal is filling some void in your life that causes depression, that's great, too! I think it's common knowledge that caring for any kind of pet has all kinds of therapeutic benefits, from lowering blood pressure to alleviating depression. Can't wait to get to the other thread to read all about her!
i know that feeling well. i have enough income to support my current pets/friends, and that's about it. i see unwanted pets on craigslist all the time, even free ones, but i can't afford them. i just have that feeling, 'i would make a great foster parent for him', but can't fit another tank and feed him. frustrating. kind of mind boggling that someone would, not want a beardie for one. and change their mind on an adoption fee two. and try their hardest to profit on something they don't even want. i feel your frustrations and am bummed for you too. let us know if something ends up panning out.
