My beardie baby Zuko had these round bulges appear about a week or so ago. Is this normal? He has one on both sides of his head, he is a little over 2 months old. His breeder said she has never seen it before which has me concerned. He still eats like normal, he is very active and curious and doesn't act sick.
I wouldn't be concerned about that. It's most likely just from him being a chunky boy. Dragons often will store food in their throats, which can stretch out the beard/throat area.
If your worried about it, just keep an eye on the area and make sure it doesn't develop into hard masses. It would be pretty rare for something serious to be on both sides of the throat like that.
I was just about to post this same question!! Thank you so much for posting this first.
Rocky is eating so much so I thought it was storage too but I wasn't sure....Rocky has it on both sides as well. I too will continue to watch my little greedy monster!
I also have to be mindful as some of roaches were larger that she ate....

We are supposed to feed them items the size between the width of their eyes. Rocky looks at small items like PLEASE and turns her head so I go JUST A LITTLE larger but the roaches...they are growing so fast. I buy small or medium (on the smaller side) but I open the container at size and some are humongous. I don't even feed them to her, I use them for breeding LOL. In the morning, I am going to feel to ensure the sacs aren't hard- my poor baby is shedding again and isn't feeling the best so we will see. I skipped the roaches altogether today and she wasn't happy- turned over her salad at me. Rocky's temperament, I'll tell you! I gave her the tiny larvae....NOT A HIT. She did watch them for a few minutes as if they were entertainment.
