Bulb touching wire mesh ok?

I just bought a 150 watt bulb for my tank, I previously had a 100w att bulb and never had a problem. However tehis new bulb is slightly bigger then teh old bulb and when I place the light on top of the wire mesh cover the bulb touches the wire mesh top slightly but over the entire front of teh bulb. Wondering if this is ok orI should find some way to not let the bulb touch teh mesh? thanks

for the protection of the bulb i'd take a piece of wood and cut a hole in it to raise the bulb up just a bit maybe a 1/4 or 1/2 MDF piece
or you could rip a 2x4 in half and put the 2 pieces on top.
