Built tank, need lighting advice

Built a new tank need lighting advice. I am not sure if the uvb and heat need to overlap and by how much. Check the pictures and tell me which way is better! With one way the basking temp on the rock gets to 110 the other light position is not so hot like 100 or less I forgot. But I think in the face down position I am blocking the uvb with the hood of clamp lamp. Ah also more info is it's a t5 fixture and a repti sun basking bulb. I'm thinking maybe remove the black dome from the basking? The basking bulb does have aluminum sides built in already. It's way too big for the bulb inside

You'll want the UVB and basking light to be next to eachother so you have strong UVB and high heat over the main basking area, then lower heat and lower UVB away from the basking area in order to create a gradient. It looks like the dome fixture may be taking up a lot of space. You might consider installing a screw fixture in the ceiling and putting the basking light in there to save some space. You could also cut a hole in the top of the enclosure to allow you to mount the basking light on the outside to save some space. I usually like to have the basking light at least 12'' above the main basking area both so it's out of reach, and so it produces a nice wide beam of light over the basking spot.
