Building my enclosure and I have a few questions

My friend is moving and he can't take his beardie. He is probably going to sell him to me so I have to start on the enclosure. I plan on customizing most of it so I have a few questions I'd like to ask you guys.

Are LEDs ok to use in the tank? I plan on lining the bottom of the tank with leds for just a purely aesthetic aspect. I don't think I will have a problem with installing I just want to know if it is safe, if the beardie might chew on the cord, things like that.

I also wanted to make my own Styrofoam rocks, houses, ect. for him. Does anybody have any good tutorials for me on this?

And my last question for now, installing tile. Are there any specific types of tile I should get? I have installed tile before in my sun room but I don't really know much about installing it in an aquarium.

Any links to tutorials would be great or your own tutorials would be awesome, thanks.

as far as plans for the enclosure, I based mine on theses http://www.freewebs.com/crossfireenclosures/
I put tile in mine I used 4" natural looking kinda rough tiles from home depot, used a silicone to hold them down and between to make spill proof.
