My beardie is only 10" long but I want to build her a cooler looking Viv.
What I've sketched out is 4' long, 18.5" tall, 18.5" wide.

1) Glass or Plexiglass?
2) Would the decisions be large large enough for an adult bearded dragon, maybe two (if I'm lucky enough for them to get along)?
3) I would love sand but I'm hesitant. Have any sand horror stories or some good stories about sand?
4) Besides tile and sand, what are some other good substrates?

Hi...
1)for the whole enclosure? Im not sure, I used wood for mine with sliding plexiglass (well Lexan) doors on the front

2)I believe the standard is 4x2x2 (thats how I did mine) but Ive heaard of a bunch of ppl doing 4x2x1 1/2, Id up the width to 2 ft tho, for an adult to be able to turn around comfortably, I think the height difference is just if you put the basking lights inside the viv, or on top??

3)Ive heard nothing but horror stories about sand. Id avoid it... maybe if you want your beardie to be able to dig, you could fill a container with alfalfa pellets and put it in there for him/her. They can eat alfalfa, and Ive read of others using it for a digging area... But as with everything loose, you have to watch it for mold, and worry about bacteria.

4)Tile (of course), newspaper, paper towels, non adhesive shelf liner, anything NOT loose that they may ingest and get impacted from.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
