And on grouting, Pablo doesnt use his tank to go to the restroom, he goes during his baths. I had loose tiles before and it was a pain lifting them out to clean, etc bc if I just sprayed in there it'd get wet under the tiles. If he pooped in there, it'd be a different story. But now I just vacuum it, give it a quick wipe out and its good to go!

Wait till the day comes, when your dragon gets an attitude and decides he wants to poop in his cage right after you clean it. Mine do that sometimes. LOL

Wow this looks amazing! You know the wallpaper background you have in there? Well the first couple of pictures I was like "WOW! That background rocky stuff is awesome! I'm gonna have to ask her where she bought it!" and then a couple pictures down I was like "Oh! It's a paper background!". I really like that.

I really like the colors. Pablo must LOVE it. You did a great job

Thank you! It was rough finding a background what was 18'' that didnt have any fish, and this one was actually a last resort but I ended up loving the look of it! It looks pretty good in real life as well, like its really tiled on there! I had spent about 250$ on the tile and installation to do the two side walls and bottom and halfway up the back, so glad I found this background and saved a little on tiling the back. Pablo loves it for sure, as hes been eating a lot more, and is a lot more active, I think its due to the larger temperature gradient.

Thank you! You know, I said I'd never make one again, but if down the road I ever needed a tank of this size again I'd go ahead and give it another try. After doing one I kind of have a feeling of what to do and what not to do, so it should go smoother if I do ever build another one.

I did everything wrong... but i plan to build another one made of wood, and like you said, at least now i know what to do haha.

btw, what kind of wood did you use? I used melamine and am basically gonna trash it and rebuild out of wood, melamine is a pain.

Two quick questions, did you use nails or screws? And, where did you order the track from?

I ordered the track off of Amazon, took about four days to get to my door including the day i ordered it. I used screws to put the whole structure together, and liquid nails to put on the front trim pieces

Did you have any problems with the wood splitting? I used a screw and it split the wood.
