I've had Buddy 3 weeks yesterday. The previous owners told us he was 2 yrs old. But from what we've seen. I don't know if that's true. I feel he's been abused. Buddy seems more aggressive towards my hubby than me. Yesterday was the 1st day Buddy ever opened his mouth wide at me like he wanted to bite me. He has actually bit my husband and hisses at him all the time. What is going on?

He looks like an adult to me but it's hard to confirm an exact age. Rescues can be pretty temperamental depending on the conditions they came from. Even if they grew up not being used to handling they can have a hard time adjusting to it. Just be patient and proceed slowly. He will come around but it may take several months for him to trust you and get used to interaction.
