brumation?

My bearded dragon sleeps pretty much all day and hardly ever eats.
He use to LOVE super worms and crickets then one day he just stopped... now if i put them in he wont even go for them unless I hand feed ( sometimes still wont eat )
Recently I tried some wax worms and he loved them, but refused a pinky which had never happened...


I have proper lighting uvb and heat lighting !

Hardly ever poops unless put in the tub and he even falls asleep in there sometimes..

Sometimes his eyes get really puffy to!...

Hi. How long have his eyes been like that? Thats not normal. What kind of lights does he have? He's definitely not in burmation. You might want to lower his temps as adults usually like them a couple degrees cooler. Also pinky mice are not good for beardies as they can cause fatty liver disease and impaction.

Wow, his eyes look very unusual. I would see a vet to make sure he's okay!

I bet its that uvb those cause eye problems, appetite problems and lethargy. You need to turn it off asap. The uvb most of use use on here is the reptisun 10.0 Tube. You can try rinsing his eyes with plain sterile saline eye solution and put on non pasteurized honey. I would water it down and put it on with a q tip.

Sorry on here the only uvb people trust is the reptisun 10.0 Tube or the Aracidia 13% bulb. Coils give off to much rays at first then cut out really fast as do most other tubes. There is an article to the right Newbies guide on lighting that has some really good information. I would definitely get one of those tube lights before his eyes get really bad and can't reverse his condition or it gets worse and loses his eye site.
