Brumation?

Hi everyone, I just want to make sure that this is indeed Brumation, my Grandmother is concerned and she wants me to make sure ( :lol: )

So Gabriel is now a year and few months, and he is spending most of his time in his hide sleeping, his temps are fine, he gets bathed every other day, he has a Powersun 100 watt, which hasn't caused any problems yet.

He sleeps most of the time, he still eats good, and poops before he goes back to sleep. And when he eats a big meal he basks for about 1-3 hours, and goes to sleep. When he is awake and asleep he is happy, bright colors.

Is this brumation? Thank you!

Hi there,

He seems about the right age for brumation. A few questions just to be sure though, how long have you had him, or had him in that viv? Has his viv been changed recently? Are his poos coming out solid, with tolerable smell and white urates? What times are his UV lights on?

I've had him for about a year, no recent changes, solid poops and he's lights are on 8:30-8:30 about.

Hmm, he sounds like he should be fine, just make sure you keep a close eye on him and if he gets any worse or any evident signs of a problem you should get him to the vets just to be safe!
