So Dixie is now 11 months (male) 18 inches and 540 grams .She hasnt been eating . Going on since mid March but really bad in April She might eat a bug or two every few days when I hand feed her, , no salad. She hasnt lost any weight maybe two grams up and down weekly but not enough to cause concern. Lights are good uvb good, heat good.Nothing has changed in her environment. Poops looks good but small since she is not eating.

Should I be concern? lack of calcium or nutrience?

I took her outside last friday since it was warm enough and she was walking well running through the grass without a problem.

She is not interested in crickets, reptiworms, hornworms superworms silkworms or butterworms Nada! And no salad she bask then wants to sleep earlier like 5 pm and lights off at 9 pm

I thought brumation is in winter months.? She looks healthy mouth looks good and pink. Can some brumate this time of year? I live in Canada so spring is here.

The weather can put them off their food if it's nasty wet and miserable outside.

So can hormonal changes , she might be feeling very hormonal if it's spring there (start of the N-Hem breeding season).

In both cases it will pass , and she's in good enough condition to go hungry for few days , even a week. Keep on with the usual feeding and lighting schedules, she''ll soon discover she's hungry.

I think you just have a hormonal teenage beardie girl.... who has boys on her mind. Be thankful she's not a uberhorny beardie teenage boy .... you'd be in for a torrid few weeks or more if that were the case .... bbing, headbanging at his own reflection, mounting all manner of things he finds on the floor and doing very naughty things to them at the most inappropriate times).... LOL

BTW none of beardies have ever shown any interest in brumating, is autumn here and Peppa and Toothless and just as hungry and active as usual. Same with the two BTs. Rex was nearly 5 years old when she passed away and she never brumated or layed eggs or was ever mated.

Dixie has been identified as a male but who knows I say she still... didnt change the name haha .I did experience some head banging in March but now he is too quiet... like lays there and bask he is alert tho and watches around .he will scratch once in a while to get out but nothing major.
Like March he ate every other day , lots of bugs in one sitting but April has been horrible one worms or two then few days later like friday she ate two worms then saturday she ate one hornworm was large but still nothing since. And I hand feed her she wont go to her bowl I did hand feed her previsously but she ate on her own too!
So I shouldnt be concern with the lack of calcium or vitamins she is not getting?
Like she wont develop mdb or something?
thanks for the input :) Little confusing about the brumation and hormones... who can tell lol

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
