Brumation questions

I really think Simon is brumating. He was on meds for a month for a strong case of coccidia that he FINALLY got a clean bill of health from about a week ago but he is still acting the same and just by what I read, it sounds like Brumation. He sleeps all day, doesn't really eat, he will drink though from a syringe, he doesn't really move, and he is very lethargic. The vet wants to rule out the meds messing with his appetite, but if it is brumation, should I leave him alone? Im not gunna lie, I really, -really- miss holding him. I dont force him out of his hide, but I do pet him while he is in there if he is awake. He seems to still welcome my touch, but is there anything I shouldn't do if he is actually going into brumation?

Hi there....how is his weight ? His behavior is normal, but since he just got over a month's worth of meds. [ next time try Toltrazuril,it takes less time to get rid of coccidia ] you may want to offer some probiotics to help balance out the gut flora that the meds. wipe out. Was he on a probiotic as he took the meds.? If not, get some Benebac gel or Acidophiliz + . For now, mix a bit with his water that you're giving him with the syringe. I know it seems odd when they get sleepy, but you just have to let them be. You can weigh him every 2 weeks to watch his weight, but generally they do fine.

Despite not eating much he gained 8g within a week. He was on the meds for about 2-3 weeks daily and before that just every other day for a week and a half. He was on ponazuril. Where can I pick up the probiotics? Simon seems to be doing ok. I know when he pokes his head out of his hide he is ready for some water then I give him about 3-4 syringe gulls then he goes back to sleep. I do leave calci and wax worms at the end of his hide and he randomly eats one. I'll keep watching his weight. How long should/could he be like this? I really miss holding him...

Just a question I don't remember being in the article. Is there a certain tempt I need to stay above while Simon is brumating? I took his heat lamp off his hide and i switched to his CHE bulb 24/7 to have a little warmth on the other side and I just use his Reptisun 10 light during the day. Right now his hide is at 80 degrees. Is that an OK temp or does it need to be warmer? Since I moved his heat lamp over and changed to a CHE bulb he hasn't woken up since yesterday that i can tell, he's been in the same spot...

Seems like he's snuggled down brumating. Honestly how long he takes is entirely up to him. Mine only slept for about a month and a half but I've seen some people's beardies here that went down for several months. My dragon also gained when he finally emerged from hibernation.

As for the temps, I kept his lights going, didn't change to a CHE. I did cover Hermes hide though to block out the light. I figured if, at any point, he woke up and wanted to bask and I was at work, he'd have his basking spot all warm and ready for him.

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
