So Ozzi, my beardie, is just over a year old (maybe 13 months?) and I’m pretty sure he’s in brumation. He stays in his hide underneath the newspaper I use and just... sleeps (it weirds me out because he’s my first beardie). When I check on him he wakes up and when I take him out he eventually is fully alert, but then he goes back to sleep. Today is his 14th day of sleeping in a row. I took him out to give him a bath and weigh him today and it seems he’s GAINED weight??? Right before he went down I weighed him and got 13.73 ounces and today I got 14.53 ounces? I weighed him after his bath, so maybe that’s it?
It’s funny, Ozzi has become a routine thing in my life. I always wake up and lean out of bed and we stare at each other until I’m ready to get up, I always say hi/bye when I’m in or leaving my room, and hang out with him at the end of the day. I have a cat that always sits on top of or near his tank to watch him and even she seems sad that he’s not out and about (she’s almost always sitting on the chair next to his tank). And it’s summer so I was excited to take him outside a bit and hang out more before I go back to school. But now he’s sleeping —.— bleeeeeh
Anyways sorry to go on about nothing. Honestly, I read an article that answered most of my questions while I was writing them out, but I felt like doing something that at least felt constructive haha
Thanks for bearing with me
