Brumation question

So I believe my beardy is going into brumation. He has been sleeping for a few days but every once and a while he will wake up and look around but he doesnt move or eat or anything. Is this normal? He seems healthy and I have heard of beardies waking up during brumation to eat but never just look around for a half hour and nod back out

It's probably normal, Saturn my male beardie does that a lot, he'll sleep come out and look around or bask and then every once in a while he may eat. Though this is the first time hes burmated, so it might not but its probably normal.

That's how my dragon is acting too. I think it's normal. Just offer some water and get a weight measurement when he's up. I've been offering some salad and squash pieces too. Sometimes he's interested, sometimes not. Then he'll go back to sleeping for several days.

Glad to here it isn't just my guy doing this. Its worrying but I also don't want to disrupt his sleep to try and force food on him or anything like that. I have been keeping food in his viv but next time he is up maybe I will try to hand feed him just in case
