Brumating at 10-11 months old?

So my beardy Rhodus seems to be trying to brumate. She has been denying her dubia roaches for a few weeks, and will only eat hornworms (which is only once in a while)

Other than that, she tries to sleep under her hide almost all day. I thought maybe she was just tired of roaches but maybe it is brumation?

I've kept her lights on and give her a good soak once a week and do put her on her basking spot if I feed her. She'll usually sit there for a good 20-30minutes and then go back to her hide. Going to try soaking today for a "final" bowel movement, and see if she goes down. I thought 10-11 months old might be too early.

My other beardy Helios, who is about 12-13 months old, hasn't really tried going into brumation yet. But he also has been pickier with what he eats and doesn't bask as much.

Hoping this is all it is! So do you guys think she is wanting to go down?

Yes it is a little young BUT it isnt unheard of.
Some just brumate or go into a "slow down" period and this can happen before they are a year old.....

You didnt mention if youve had a fecal done recently ?.
It is really a good idea to have it checked especially since your beardie is young to rule out parasites or some other cause first.

Letting them bruamte with parasites is NOT a good idea.
If the fecal comes back clean............let them be and rest. Just watch them for excessive weight loss during their slumber

How long is she? Early brumation seems more common in larger juvies but is still a pretty uncommon occurence.

Def get a fecal run - you really dont want her going into full brumation with parasites!

Thanks for the replies, she had a fecal about 2 months ago and was clear.

I would say she is on the bigger side, they both are. Last weight I think was over 450g, closer to 500g. Sadly I lost my weight table a week ago because my computer crashed and couldn't be saved. Weighing them today after their soak. And will measure them too.

2 Months ago isnt too long ago and if the poop doesnt stink up the room or any other parasite symptoms visible it probably is onset of brumation.
The weight also is good, meaning even if they lose some while sleeping it wont turn them into emaciated beardies.

If you feel confident that there is no underlying illnesses, i would let them be

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
