So I was feeding Moose his superworms last night and everything was normal until he had ate about 10 or so....when he pointed his head down to grab another worm some brown liquid dripped out of his mouth.

It surprised him as much as me, he pulled back, licked his lips and went to go in for the worm again, again the brown liquid dripped out, it dripped all over the worm and he ate it anyways.

I stopped feeding him and it hasn't happened again, he is acting normal, everything else is normal. It wasn't puke, it was coming out just like it would with a dropper, WEIRD. It was almost like the juices from the worms were coming back up, I dont knw how to explain it but has this ever happened to anyone else?
Is something wrong with him?

nope, not at all.

100% completely normal and it never happened with the first 10 worms, just after that.

He is happily basking right now and there's not a drop of of anything in his enclosure at all so I know nothing else came out after I fed him.....if he looked straight on nothing at al came out it was when he bent over to pick up the worm

humm, he may not have swallowed properly then. I would just keep a close eye on him for the next few days, esp while eating.

Have you ever cut a super in half? Brown and cream icky stuff. It's their inards. Mix that with saliva would make brown liquid. Semi is my only one that has brown on his lips after he eats supers. My girls do not.

Nope, never cut one in half :puke:

So it must be OK then for him to be dripping this nasty stuff when he eats them?

I would have to assume that it was the superworm innards....long long time ago Digger had eaten supers and then the hubby has teased him with a ring that was on a chain and he went after it and all this brown "goo" came out of his mouth so I yelled at the hubby at the time. Never saw the liquid stuff again until he was sick a few years later (hubby fed him 22!!!! supers then wondered why he threw up  )sigh.

I would just keep an eye on him for a few days and see how he is. Maybe the suggestion the other poster did about cutting the worm in half so you can see if the liquid matches, I never did that myself.

You can hold a super with tongs and cut them with a scissors. I use this method to cut the heads off of the worms I feed Semi. Semi won't eat them if they have heads. They have bitten his lips and hung on while he shook his head to get them off. I had to take them off of him. That was the last time he would touch them and that happened a year ago. Now I just cut the heads off and hand him one. BTW, they still wiggle even if they don't have heads. YUCK. My other dragons eat them like candy with the heads.

I was thinking bug juice from the superworms no doubt! EEEW I am NOT cutting them though - they are creepy enough as they are! LOL Angus loves them but I think he loves hornworms more! Those squirt sometimes as well and I've had to clean his beard & face afterwards!

I just fed Moose some butters and hornworms and nothing!

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
