Broken/Sprained right hand?

This morning I woke up to turn their lights on and noticed that Phoenix looked like something was wrong. I picked him up and noticed that his right hand was bent backwards and was using his arm as support. I gently moved it and it seems like he is not in pain because he didn't react, just stood there but he did put his hand back in a coil. I am a little worried but I did see him eat his greens. My set-up (temporarily) is a 10 gallon with a 75w infrared baskijg bulb. Temps get around 95-100. Then I have a coil 13w i think 10.0 uvb bulb. There are 2 baby beardies in the tank but I have a divider between them. I am building a 4ft enclosure and i know coiled bulbs is no so good so i plan on buying a reptisun t5 10.0. Any ideas on what is going on with Phoenix?

Hi there.....if the beardies were together then it could have possibly been bitten, but since they're apart then he is probably not absorbing enough calcium , leading to weak bones. For now you'd be better off getting 2 small storage totes from a home improvement or even a dollar store and put one baby in each. A 10 gal. tank divided is waaaaaaay too small for any proper heat gradient and impossible to get the proper UVB exposure. A red light is not natural for beardies so look for a halogen or regular incandescent household bulb [ you might have those around your house, or get them at a store]

Your beardies will do much better with the proper lights and it really can't wait. If you can get them out in the sun in a plastic tote with partial shade [ never use glass, it will roast them ] that can help them. That's best done before temps. hit 80 since plastic gets pretty hot as well. If you put them out like that make sure there's a basking log so they can get up off the plastic. A kiddie pool can work as well.

With proper calcium and UVB hopefully Phoenix will start to improve.
