Broken Jaw?? Jaw separated from Skin??

My bearded dragon seems to have a broken jaw. He has a swollen eye as well. No-one in the house knows if any trauma occured. His skin is separated from his jaw. Has anyone had this happen to their lizard? Any idea of the prognosis? Help!

I hope the link works. Thanks for looking at it. He has opened his mouth several times chomping, sort of like he does when he eats. He hasn't eaten yet.

OMG his eye is hugeeee you gotta have an idea of what happened maybe eye infection from the sand but damn is that big and the jaw u have no clue at all??

i would take him to the vet but it looks like MBD to me
what uvb light do you have?
do you dust his food with calcium?

You need to get him or her to a vet right away.

I agree with others, he needs to go to the vet, looks like MBD. Do you use calcium on his food and a UVB light? In the mean time get the sand out and put him on paper towel or newpaper, if the sand gets in it, it could get infected and become worse.
Possibly this is all due to the sand and his mouth and eye got infected from it being dirty?
Either way I would suggest a vet.

That's definitely metabolic bone disease disfiguring his jaw. He very urgently needs vet care. Are his legs having problems or looking odd ? As was mentioned, he needs a good UVB bulb [ reptisun 10.0 or] and calcium supplementation. Getting him out in the sun along with giving calcium will help, but if you take him in the sun, you must be sure the temp. does not get too high, and you MUST stay with him,[ he doesn't look like he can get around very well] mottled sun/ shade would be the best if it's over 80 F.
