So I thought I had Miss Buddy all figured out. She used to brumate in the fall/winter months and be gravid in the spring/summer months.
Well I moved at the very end of June and at the time Buddy was done with eggs but not in brumation yet. She was just normal. Less than a month into being in the new house she started, what I think was, brumation. She wasn't eating, sleeping for days, typical brumation. I thought it might be moving stress but she didn't change colors and it lasted up until a few weeks ago.
So from July-ish to November she was lazy, sleeping. Now she is acting like she is gravid. Still the early signs but she gets crazy and antsy in her tank, black beards but very light everywhere else. She pooped in the tank (which she doesn't do) and it was pretty small. She's running all over the house.
Can they just flip their routine? I live in AZ so winter isn't really winter or anything. So maybe she brumated early and is now gravid?
I've been reading other owners posts and apparently Buddy wouldn't be the only one who is gravid at this time of year.
