I just took Ernie on his first outing tonight (I've talked to others on here that have said they take their beardies everywhere!)

We went to Hallmark (they thought he was adorable and were in awe of him), Target, and Petsmart.

Another customer at Petsmart noticed him and started talking to me - He also has a beardie and of course didn't know enough about how to care for them. I INSISTED that he check out BD.org! The more people we can educate the better!

Ernie LOVED it. I will be taking a dragon with me everywhere from now on (when the weather is nice!)

How do u know if u can bring them in a store or not like target and hallmark or like honedepot or Walmart do u call first

I'm sure Ernie simply loved that!

I'd also like to know where you can and can't bring them. I'm reluctant to bring Magnum anywhere other than Petsmart since I don't know how people will react. I'm afraid someone will think it's unsanitary and complain and a manager will tell me to leave or something.

Nah me and Franklin go to the grocery store quite often. If anyone gives me any trouble I just turn my back and don't listen to them. It's not like they're going to put their hands on you, and even if they did I would press charges for battery!

Me and Franklin just got back from the beach, it's so nice out today!

Jasper got to go to my daughter's softball game yesterday - I got swarmed with kids! Today was Earth Day celebration here in town and Saffire got to go. People think the beardies are just cool and give me a great opportunity to help educate and point the to bd.org.

I take Fluffy all over the place. No, I don't ask. However, I live in a town with a lot of older people and so in places like Michael's where there is likely to be an older crowd I tend to keep her a little more low profile. She rides in my bag or I toss her blanket over her. In the pet shops and Home Depot... we just stroll with her on my shoulder. No one gives me any trouble. Usually if I'm at the hardware store it's to buy things for her viv anyway.

Library, flea markets, farmers markets, county fair, parks, play grounds {with my grands}, family BBQ's, exercise walking around our town, the town's birthday celebration, soft ball games, yard sales, health walking at the mall, banking, dollar store, farmers supply store, pet shops, occasional pickup of my grandson from school, fabric store, Lowes, book store,.....these are just some of the places I've taken my 4 dragons.

Home Depot, Lowes, Wal-Mart, Sam's Club, the Bank, and just out in general pubic. No we don't call ahead first, I've just taken them with us. Never had a complaint before and don't really care if I have one now. Home Depot was the coolest, had all the contractors scared and saying how it was weird that a girl would have a "lizard". Silly boys! haha :lol:

So my boyfriend goes and plays poker at a casino near our house...im totally bringing him there to hang out! my bf said they will prob kick you out..so i told him if they said anything he is my thearpy bearded dragon and i have cancer so leave him BE! lol think that might work!!

Sooooo jealous!!! I wish I could take Malcolm everywhere I went! Ontario Canada is not good for that. :roll: It's almost May and we're all still in jackets. Sigh... One day I'll live somewhere warm...
