So, as it is too cold for Bindy to leave the house, I sit around fantasizing when I can bring him to work for a few hours, and he can meet the guys here.

Am I the only weird one to think about/do this? My boss says so long as he doesn't scare away clients we're good :p

I know sometimes sittin in front of this stupid computer, I think of nothing more than getting me some beardie snuggles.

:p

what's your dress code? if you're in a suit and tie maybe not best idea. Although i HAVe been transporting Franklin around in a zip-up soft laptop case. I stuff it with his fleece blanket and my old sweater, put some dishtowels in there, and let the whole thing warm up over the heater until it's nice and toasty warm!

Put him in there, cover his eyes, zip him inside and he doesn't seem to worry about anything at all!! Plus it just looks like a busy laptop case!

Soon as the weather turns warmer for school up on my end I'm gonna take him to class in my Hooded sweatshirt!!!!

Look at you go! Oh, we're pretty casual haha. I wear jeans most days :p We have our meeting days set aside, otherwise it doesn't really matter. There's only three of us in here so I doubt there would be much cause for concern!

Franklin sure goes anywhere huh? That's awesome! :D

yeah he likes to know what's going on around the town that's for sure. If you're not in a formal business dress then I'd put him in your hooded sweatshirt OR make him a little carrier like I have with my laptop case.

I am waiting for when the weather is warmer (Canadian winters aren't lovely) ... to even consider taking him out and about :p But I am glad I am not the only one to have thought of this!

yeah it's actually been pretty mild for me (Northern Idaho) this winter so far. Seems determined to hover around the 5c range or so. Franklin is NOT happy about it hehe. The thing is, if you have a nice case to put him in, you can just warm it up and move it swiftly from like house, to car, to destination and use the car to warm him up if he needs it. Beardie + Front Defroster= Win

We have to work this out come christmas; we're going to my parents for a few days.

We so far have a little shoebox we put him in. In college I bought a wheat bag a fundraiser - You microwave it and it gives off heat for a while. So we thought of putting him and that in the shoebox.

The thing is, when we took him to the vet when he was 12 in long, he fit well in the box. Now, at almost 17 inches.. it's a bit cramped :p

But that seems to be the start of our solution. Haha. It's a work in progress.

yeah i have a 17inch laptop case that I have to tote him around in. He's too large for a 12in space. If not a laptop case I have also used a small backpack. You just stuff it with blankets and throw it in the dryer for 15-20 minutes, let it cool down a little bit and just hold it somewhere warm for the car ride. It's really that easy. They love having their eyes covered up in the warm dark :0

I took ours to work a couple weeks ago, everyone loved her. She just sat on my shoulder almost the whole time ( I work in a manufacturing environment working with industrial electronics, and it didn't bother her a bit)

That would be so cool if you took him to work with you! I think Bindy would absolutely love that! I find it easy to transport Fiz in a shoebox lined with a folded towel, and in the folds of the towel I put hand warmers in there! They make these handwarmers for kids so they don't get super hot as many regular ones can do, and Fiz seems comfy enough and warm that he just goes to sleep!

Here's an idea, if you have like, your own desk at work you could take a clamp lamp and clamp it to something on your desk and put a little folded towel underneath for Bindy to sit on, and have a low wattage household bulb in there so he can get some heat! The towel underneath is good so that it won't burn your desktop or anything. Just a thought!

Hopefully it will work out and you can take Bindy to work :) I can't wait until it warms up so that my husband and I can take our beardies places like to visit friends and family. We have a cat/small dog carrier that we would use and put a few towels in there for comfort. Although we would have to take one beardie at a time.

Yeah! Just use an desktop lamp to keep him warm! Do you eat lunch at your desk? You could probably bring Bindy a little container of his favorite veggies so he can eat lunch with you! That would be the cutest thing! Bindy would probably LOVE the attention and love the treats he gets too!

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
