I am starting to breed super worms, and I was wondering if while they are pupating in the tackle box if they need air? It's pretty air tight, so I was curious if I need to be poking holes in the top or something? I know they don't need food or water, but I can't find anything on whether or not they need air holes. I imagine they do need the air holes, I just don't want to put them in case I am wrong. Also, some sites said it needs to be placed in a dark area, some didn't. Do I need to put my pupating box into a dark closet of sorts?

I've never really read anything about the air situation in the pupating box, but I would imagine that they need air to survive. But like you said, I read food prolongs the process and to leave food and water out of it.

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
