Breeding Older Dragons

I was wondering how late a bearded dragon can breed. If I waited a couple years until I had the funds and the space and the time to breed my bearded dragon, and he was several years old, would that be a problem?

(P.S. I understand the responsibility and cost of breeding even one pair of dragons, and that females can remain fertile and lay eggs long after they have mated with a male. This is mainly a hypothetical question)

I think 3 or 4 is the normal retirement age.
