Hi there,

I have a 4 year old male "marketed leucistic" or hypo leucistic. (Whatever you want to call it!) What would be the best type of dragon to breed it with? Would only another leucistic work? What about a silk back? If I breed him with a silk back would I get leatherbacks?
Since he is technically a 'hypo' could I breed him with other brightly colored hypos and expect good results? Are translucents out of the question since he has none of that in him?
I have a feeling that since he is ONLY a hypo leucistic, he would only create hets in all other areas.
OK, I know that's a lot of rambling but all my research has led me to these questions.
Thanks!

If you breed him to a silkback it would produce 100% leather offspring that are het for hypo. If you breed him to a hypo silkie it will produce 100% Hypo Leather offspring. If you breed him to a hypo you will get 100% hypo offspring, If you breed him to a het hypo you will get close to a 50-50 split (50% hypo 50% het). If you breed him to a trans you will produce 100% het for hypo/trans offspring. If you breed him to a Hypo Trans you will get 100% hypo's het for trans. If you breed him to a trans het hypo you will get 100% het trans 50% possible het hypo.

This is so interesting! We have a marketed leucistic boy and a hypo het trans girl. We were wondering what kind of babies they might make? I won't find out for years to come, if ever, since I'm not really in a position to breed right now. I'd love to just once for the experience of it. We don't have the means for all those little poopers right now though

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
