So my female was bred once and laid one clutch of 22 eggs. Did not lay any more for about 6 months till she got bred again and just laid another clutch of 31. So i was wondering since she only had 1 clutch the first time is it likely that this next will be the same or do you think she will lay more? I was thinking about putting them through burmation this year but not sure if i should? Any help thanks

I would suggest waiting at least 60 days from the last clutch laid before brumating. Fatten her up, in case there is another late clutch coming. A gravid female brumating could kill her.

Brumation can be unavoidable in an adult, however I would not recommend inducing brumation until she is definitely not gravid.

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
