Hello all. I recently bought a 17" Bearded Dragon for myself and kids I was told it is a year old. His name is Bowser. Can anyone tell what type/morph it is? He wasn't in very good shape when I purchased him, small wooden enclosure with no uvb lighting, and no climbing, I was told he spent a lot of time outside being held though. He has perked up quite a bit in the past few weeks and spends a lot of time exploring his new enclosure, and loves being held. I am trying to set things up as best as possible. Still working on exact basking bulb spots/watts. I know sand is a bad substrate, but he spends the majority of his time climbing and hanging around his basking areas, also rocks are all over the floor to minimize the area he is in contact with sand. He does have a digging cave with sand though. I also have an outdoor enclosure which for the summer months he spends about 6-7 hrs a day outside under the real sun. He is also fed crickets outside only, where there is no sand. His inside enclosure is (70w x 28h x 22 deep) Huge Glass is 3/8" thick insulates very well! with 2-24" reptisun 10.0 uvb, and 2- 75 w basking bulbs. The main question I have is weather or not to use calcium with D3 or without D3 as he will be spending half the day outside for the next few months? Also what morph?
Also all the wood and rocks have been heated to kill anything in my mothers kiln! Any and all help and suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks
