Welcome to BD.org Cory! It might be easier if you post your questions as the arise and then we can answer them for you. I could write a page or 2 worth of advice for you, and I'm sure many others on here could write books! Do you have pics of your beardies that you could share? We do love pics around here.

oh i forgot to tell the story that i took them to my sisters school to pick her p..she is 5 in kindergarden...but i had borris sitting on my shoulder he was getting his sun just chillin....in az its close to 90 degrees but i got so many questions from the teachers and the kids

OMG Margret and Cletus are super cute, I love babies! Borris is a pretty boy too, but those babies are tough competition. I didn't even know that there was such a thing as a chuckwalla! Are they anything like beardies? Thanks for sharing your pics! LOL I get a million questions from people all the time. I spent almost an extra hour at the vet yesterday b/c none of the techs wanted me to go w/o seeing the beardies, then there's the people in the waiting room.... I guess that's what we get for having something other than a cat or a dog huh? What were the kids reactions to Borris?

jen chuckwallas are actually native to were i come from in arizona in order to ave them you have to have a fishing lisence and you are only aloud to have 2 of them .. they are more similar to i guess a cross of a uro and an iguana i cought one before but they dont do well in capitvity unless they were in captivity since hatchlings but they have more energy than a beardie but donthave the personality of a beardie thats for sure. lol . but they are very intresting to have.


The babies dont really react to borris too much i try to keep them out of borris' eye sight he is a grumpy old man when it comes to other beardies...the reason i say that is because my friend gave me his after i got borris because she wasnt eating right and i told him i would take care of her...he didnt know they were supposed to have veggies...and he gave her a basking bulb only and no uvb so she had a bad case of mbd. well any ways i put borris and her on the floor together and he started doing the domintatn head bobbing and what not and then he bit her on the spikes on the back of the head and they werent aloud to see eachother again after i pryed his mouth of her....however there cages were across the room and sometimes he would get a glimpse at her and would throw a fit in his cage bobbing his head running back and forth so i dont want to anger him or scare them

y a i have some excpeince but not as much as most i went to the reptile expo last weekend and i felt dumb compared to some of the people there
