My beardie, Julien really likes to explore and the thing is I live in an small apartment. There's no room for him to just run around. I feel bad because he obviously wants to explore more than he gets to but there are way too many places for him to get stuck in. I'm not really sure what to do. I want him to be able to exercise to his little hearts content. Maybe you guys could tell me how your beardie gets exercise other than in their tank?

Many sites and even local pet stores sell leashes specialized for Bearded Dragons! On the summer, you can take your bearded dragon out on a walk- as long as you are very careful. You are not walking something like a dog, of course, so a considerably isolated sunny place is ideal, like a back yard or something. Make sure to try it out a couple times in your apartment so that you can make sure your beardie won't slip out or something.

I've heard of those but he's still little right now. Oh course he'll probably be grown enough for one by the time summer comes. I'll keep that in mind.

The leashes are a pretty good idea, especially if it is warm and sunny out. Generally you want the temperature to be above 60F or 70F before you go out.
How big is your dragon right now? You can still let him walk around your apartment, just make sure he doesn't get stuck or anything.

He's 10in right now. I've tried but unless I'm right behind him he looks around for a moment and the takes off under my couch. Of course I've been laying down in the floor and letting him roam around as much as I can but he gets annoyed with me cutting his little adventures short.

You could always try to block him off from getting there in the first place by placing something in front of the open areas under the couch and likewise areas.

Cardboard barriers where ever she can possibility squeeze under / between stuff , that's what I did with Rex and Puff when they were starting to get time on the floor to explore.

Beauty of cardboard is :
-- it's easy to get (just grab a couple big shipping boxes and dismantle them)
-- easy to cut with a pair of scissors or a sharp knife (use a straight edge as a guide)
-- can easily be folded and bent and even stapled permanently to the desired shape
-- it's light
-- and it can be stored out of sight behind the lounge when not needed.

I think he's a too young to get extended exploration time on the floor, I'd hold off on that until he's about 12 months old maybe (and considerably bigger), he will appreciate getting to explore on the bed and on the lounge next to you or all over you.

I got a leash for my beardie since the day I had him (7 inches, maybe a few months old). It goes around his waist and is adjustable as he grows. I got mine from the worm lady (online). He is so used to it, he waits while I put it on.
My bearded dragon is a class pet, so he roams around my classroom with the leash on and I don't worry about where he goes (lots of places in a school to get caught in). This will be my first summer with him, and can't wait to take him outside (with the leash on of course).

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
