Blueberries Causing Watery Poo?

Yoshi has been eating Bok Choy, but Sunday I switched him to collards and mustards which he has tried before but hasn't eaten since he's started eating greens voluntarily. I also gave Yoshi blueberries for the first time Sunday. On Monday, I noticed his poo was pretty watery. Some solid, but more liquid than normal. So I didn't give him bluberries that day and Tuesday, his poo was far less watery. I gave him blueberries again Tuesday and this morning, there was quite a bit of liquid once again. Do you think this is connected to the berries? And is this common? I thought blueberries were ok for a treat but I don't think it's worth it if he's gonna have excess liquid and I don't want it to cause other problems.

If you feed him something then he gets watery poo, then you can be pretty sure its the new food to blame. Blueberries are juicy and that extra water has to go some where.
Watery stools doesn't mean anything is wrong, nor does it mean your dragon is going to get dehydrated. Its nothing to worry about unless its diarrhea and he starts acting sick.
Have you ever feed a lot of horns or silkies? You wouldn't believe the excess liquid they produce.

No, he hasn't had either. The only worms he's had is mealworms before I knew better. Is he big enough for slikies?

I'm not sure how old or how big he is but silkies are a very soft worm and easily digested. They also come in different sizes so a very good feeder no matter how young or old the beardie is. :p

What timing! I was just going to come make a topic about whether I could start feeding Wave some of the larger, soft-bodied worms, for a little more variety in her live diet, but looks like I won't have to.

Thanks for letting me glean information from your thread, Sashee!

I have heard watery poo = hydrated...runny stool is another issue. My dragons both have water with their poo. I noticed if they have a longer time between baths then its not as watery. Plus when my guys had horns and silks they had lots of water!!! lol!

I would suggest raspberries instead of blueberries. They're less saturated with water and still a good treat for them. Fresh is better than frozen if they're in season (like they are now).

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
