hey everyone! I got my beadrie sheila from bloodbank dragons about a month ago. ever since ive had her shes been skinny and dosn't eat very well. she probably only has 6-10 crix a day and she is abouth 5.5 months old. she weighs 4.6 oz and is about 13". im just worried about her because shes a gorgeous beardie with a great disposition + shes was pretty expensive. i wanted to know if anyone else here has gotten a beardie from bloodbank that has had any of these problems. thank

What type of UVB are you using? Are your basking temps correct? An incorrect UVB source and heat will make a dragon not eat. Without correct basking temps they won't eat because they can't properly digest their food. So tell us a little about your setup and we can try to help and go from there!

You could also check a fecal at the vet to rule out parasites. Have you talked to Bloodbank about the problems? Maybe they can have some advice for you too.

She does look a little thin. I do absolutely think her being housed with the other is making a difference and she is stressing out from it. Do you have another tank that you can put her in with all the needed supplies?

Beautiful enclosure you have for them. I definitely think housing her with another dragon is what's stressing her out. Is she housed with another female at least?

That probably is stressing her out. I would recommend seperating them forever. Bearded Dragons thrive much better when housed alone.

Fighting is one issue when housing 2 dragons together but there are many more hurtful problems that can arise with housing more than one beardie to a tank. Get her her own set-up and she will more than likely thrive and start eating better and getting bigger. She can only eat as much as she's allowed. If the other dragon takes all the food then she's not getting far near enough. Also, if you dust their bugs and the other eats most then she won't be getting the suppliments she requires either. She probably isn't getting the sufficient UVB she needs either since she does have to share her home. Also, she probably isn't getting enough warmth either because they will be dominant over the best basking spots. I would also recommend that you bump your temps up to about 108-110. That may help stimulate her appetite as she will be able to digest her food properly and can consume more because it will be easier to digest in the higher temperatures.

She is a beautiful dragon. They both are.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
