Bleeding nails

Dezzy seems to like to dig at the back wall of his cave in the evening. I wasnt too terribly concerned as it seemed like something beardies do occasionally. I just got home from work and noticed his nails look like they are so worn down they've been bleeding today. I have not clipped or filed them at all myself. His temps and set up are good and clean (I just did a full clean out Friday)

He is in shed (tail is white and head is just starting to go white) and extremely skittish and defensive of me being anywhere near him. (Unless I have tongs and dubias, the boy is a eating machine despite the shedding)

I plan to remove the cave and slide his branch over into his basking spot once he gets down. Will a bath and neosporin on the toes do for now? Is there anything else I can do?

((I cant get the picture to load correctly, sorry))

UPDATE:

I just realized I put strawberries on his salad this morning.... he stands on his salad sometimes. Could that result in what looks like blood?

He also had a massive poo and settled down enough for me to get him put and quickly rinse off his feet. The nails are well filed but no real visible damage. I'm going to attempt to get these pics to work and do a before/after cleaning.

Thank you, I'll be sure to tell him you think so and perhaps it will help his attitude! Lol

You'd think I'd remember what I put in his salad bowl this morning but I must have been in auto pilot at 5:30 am ? Hopefully it was the strawberries!

Lol! I don't get near autopilot till at least 10am.
I'd keep an eye on it for a day or 2. Blood turns brown pretty quick, berries stay red for many hours or even days. If it was blood, that bright, I think it would still be wet. Just my opinion. ?

I suppose there's one upside of leaving for work at 5:30-6am for 9 years straight... my morning routine is simple and can be done half asleep ?

I've been giving him a different topper and rotating greens daily in an attempt to find what he likes. I've seen him nibble maybe 2 times in the last week, but who knows if he nibbles while I'm gone. He ate all the strawberry and left the mustard greens today lol

Yeah I change my Petey's menu pretty regular. Turnip greens and summer squashes are his faves. Have yet to find a fruit that he actually likes. ?

This may sound... ? but it's helped. For a short while, I actually counted the number of leaves/pieces of green I put in Z's bowl to determine if he was eating any at all. It didn't have to be a lot--he was either eating them or he wasn't. Turns out he was--at least some of them, but it helped me figure out some things he would eat, and other things he won't.

No, I don't have OCD. DW will attest to that. :D

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
