Poor Blaze

Blaze's legs starting shedding last night and I felt so bad for the lil boy. Today his skin is exploding off of him! Poor Blaze! He's not too interested in eating...I don't blame him.

Here's some pics.

Now you can see a difference in his colors. I took him out and held him for a few minutes and he started to calm down.

It'll come of fast now! Did you give him a swim? I'll give Odahviing a warm bath and make sure to get her back soaked when she starts to peel. Usually as warm as I like my baths and a bit warmer then a normal beardie bath. The peeling skin hydrates and sloughs off a bit.

Yeah he's been getting 2 baths a day for the past 2 or 3 days. I gave him another bath after the skin was all off to wash away any bits that were stuck to him. He's done shedding but he's still really mad about it.

Shedding is all over now. I also took the wood out of Blaze's viv because I realized that the reason he's been so grumpy lately was because the wood was stressing him out. He spent most of his days on it but he was always really grey and mad looking. Now he's back to his citrusy happy self. We measured him last night. He's 8" long!

I was just having fun with my camera tonight and took a ton of pics.

I love pictures 10 and 11, Blaze is too cute. I've never seen such a white belly on a baby , usually they're always stressed out..

Don't you love the way his little tum feels right off the rock? When Odahviing was even more tiny, like in the 30 gram range, I'd take her out and she'd lay across my fingers and let me stroke her tum between my thumb and pointer finger. Her bright white, soft, warm belly. She STILL loves belly pettings and half stands up on my hand with back feet on the couch to get them.

I know they can't feel heat, but they must feel something because she gets those happy, sleepy eyes. Beardie bellies are AWESOME! So soft!!

He does have a nice white, warm belly. I haven't taken many pics lately because I'm gonna surprise everyone with his growth. He's growing soooo fast. He's almost 9". He grows over night. I had no idea he'd grow so fast. The breeder said his daddy was a big dude so maybe Blaze will be a 2 footer lol. His tail is getting white again so looks like we have another shed coming soon. Gotta go tuck him in to bed now.

Ok. It's been a a little while since Blaze's last photoshoot. He'll be 11 weeks old on Friday and his currently 9 1/2" long! His head is a lot larger and more spikey now too.

WOAH he looks so good! He's even got a nice little fat belly. Hard to believe how big he has gotten already, in such a short time.

He eats like a pig. Like around 30 reptiworms and 40 dubias a day. With maybe a mouthful of greens too.
