We brought Blaze home on June the 8th. As we are coming up on a month I figured it was time to not post anymore in the Into area. So far we have learned so much from lurking on this site. It has helped me so much to prepare for Blaze and minimize some of the worry about bringing a beardie into our home and taking proper care of it.
Thank you all so very much :D
Now onto some Blaze info:
4 months old red beardie (based on shop's info)
9" at 25g
Loves long peaceful stretches of sun bathing and Phoenix worms, in a pinch crickets are fun. Loves swimming in baths and eating some greens. (Nope baby did not read the Care Sheets.) Almost every other day all of the "salad" is gone. Cilantro and squash are fast favorites.
*side note has anyone else found that the choices in your fridge have become healthier with all of the variety of greens that you have on hand for your Beardie/s? On a mildly disturbing note I have found myself singing "My Wormies My Wormies where ever they go Blaze wants to eat them...." whenever a package of worms arrives (to the tune of My Buddy My Buddy)
ummm quick look at the pictures to cleanse you mind  Sorry the pictures are from my phone.
Look at this big worm belly.

Worms My Worms

Just chilling

Finally shedding his/her tail, can't help but think that using the "baby fingertip toothbrush" in the bath last night helped to encourage today's shed. :D
Sorry for the book to start with and Thank you all again for all the help that you might be unaware of giving. I have found so many answers to questions before I could even realize what my question was.

Blaze is now 10.5" and 37g.
As I was getting lower on Phoenix worms than I was comfortable with, I ran to our local reptile pet store to grab some crickets to stretch the worms until my order gets here. I bought 50 thinking that would last the weekend with the worms left.
So I dusted about 15 and Blaze chased them all down, then stared at me like "umm why did it stop raining snacks?"
So I dusted 15 more, flash all gone, by this time the stinker is hanging out just below the bag of dusted crickets and catching/or trying to catch them while they are falling.
Again with the look  fine dust 15 more crickets. As these get decimated I realize that there are only 5 left for Sat. and Sun. now. :banghead:
We are having a family cookout on Sat. so time is to short to get more on Sat. :(
This from a beardie who seemed to lose interest in the crickets right around 20, to date.
So I was hoping that there were still enough of the bigger Small Phoenix worms to make it until a cricket run on Sun.
Woot there were 12 real good size worms and 11 smaller and my hubby decided that SinVader our Ball Python needed to be feed on Sat. so he got some of my to do list done so that I could make a feeder run.
:blob5:
Came home with 150 just to ensure that we would be good until its time to sing the Wormie song again.

He's a cutie. I feel ya on the cricket business. As soon as I thought Thanos was over crickets I had to get some to stretch Dubias and Phoenix worms, she gobbled up the whole lot of them! Silly babies we have.

Thanks, I thought I had a handle on the beardie appetite but noooo.

Tonight after his bath I put him down to run around the bathroom and the little stinker climbed into my lap to get to my arm. Then pushed his snout against my other hand, snuggled in and went to sleep. As he was on both of my hands and it was to cute to not have a picture I shouted for my hubby to come take a picture for me.
So Blaze has to open his eyes while my hubby figures my phone out but the picture is still cute. (I think. :) ) Sorry I know the pictures from my phone are not the best in the world.

aren't they adorable? blaze sure is a handsome fella! my ulysses is at 2.5 months old, and is getting to really dislike going back 'home'! he doesn't want to let go, and has started falling asleep on my hand.. i can't wait til he gets a bit bigger and i won't worry so much about hurting him.. he's at 7 inches right now, but growing like a weed. taft is about 17 inches, and the snuggle bunny.. he just came through a big shed, his pastel colors are beautiful.. and i wish my cell took decent pics, it's a dang 'smart' phone!

It seems that Heat lamps aren't just for Beardies. At least according to our kitten.

I saw him up there and went running into the room as it looked like his paw was hanging in Blaze's tank. But its all good this time, the screen was on the tank and Purrvader was just soaking up the heat from the window and the heat lamp.
By Thanksgiving I hope to have Blaze in his new enclosure and this will not be an issue....may have to move that date forward by a month or more. :banghead:

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
