blankets?

ok not sure if this is where I should be asking this but here goes. lately my wife and i have noticed that our 2 young beardies have a hard time going to sleep at night. so we have been taken them onto the couch with us when we watch a little tv at night and find that almost right away they push themselves into our blankets or cloths and go to sleep. so im wondering if its ok for them to have some sort of blanket. just at night, but something they can dig themselves into and sleep well. also we were trying to find out if there is anything they may like to play with. there very active and i have know idea if they should have toys or something. thanks for the help.

I bought a pack of face cloths and they each have one to snuggle up in at night, I have spares for when they need washing.

I have to cover Esme and Horace, but Gytha has gotten the idea and goes and snuggles herself in when she thinks its bed time, normally anywhere between 9 and 10 pm.

you mean like wash cloths? like tarrycloth right? its so funny when they do it they just like wiggle there way down into my blanket and fall asleep in like sec. thanks for the info.

Blankets are perfectly fine... Beardies love to cuddle up in them... Scarlett is about 3 months now and I bought her two little zhu zhu pet blankies when she was really little and she still likes to sleep on them... Some people put stuffed animals in their vivs for their beardies.. Others have custom blankies made... Fleece blankets are really popular too..

Oh yea, Ziggy loves his blankies He has a spot in a tank where he goes to let me know it's snuggle time. It's so cute!

Spike Just can't get sleep without his 2 fluffy blankets, i firstly cover him into a burrito and pet him then he looks at me like he would try to say good night or something and snuggles deeper into the Blankets and closes his eyes .. tahts so darn cute!! :3

As the above said, beardies freakin' loveeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee blankies. I'm looking forward to getting Zeusy a good baby sized blankie to keep him company at night. 75 degrees seems too cold for the spoiled brat. lol

I am so relieved to hear other Beardies love their blankets too! My husband thought I was twacked wrapping my Buddy like a taco in his fleece at night but he LOVES his blanket and will not sleep without it!!

All our 6 have their own blankets. They also have their own towels, washcloths and stuffed animals.

Wash day I have a load of laundry just for Beardies!!

Teddy absolutely loves his fleece blanket I made for him. He snuggles in real deep. He also has a stuffed lemur that he often falls asleep on each day.

I'd recommend fleece versus terrycloth, only because IMO terrycloth may get stuck in the spikes. But that might just be a bias towards fleece. :roll:

YAY!! im not the only one loony about spoiling a lizard. We've evolved to his own full size pillow with his blankies its great he falls asleep on his pillow wherever he can get his night night petting and i just scoop up the pillow and slide it into his sleep tank without disturbing him.
