Hi.
I've recently become the proud owner of my very first baby beardy, but am a little worried about a black patch on his tummy. I've tried looking online but can't find an exact match, can anyone help?
I think he's had it since I got him, but as I've been giving him a two week settling in period I have been unable to get a good look at it until today when I gave him his first bath and took some photos (which I've hopefully uploaded correctly below).
Aside from the patch he seems happy and healthy enough, if perhaps a little greedy, and a bit wary which I believe is normal. Any advice would be greatly appreciated as it can be stressful looking after a new baby.
Thanks!

Hi there...he has a nice chubby tummy, it's good that he's eating well. :) That looks like a stain of some sort possibly, maybe a bit of poo. Since you've only given him one bath, try bathing again + use a soft toothbrush to see if it comes off.

That seems to have done the trick! Dirty little guy, he's going to have to get used to having more baths in future.
Thanks for the help, I was beginning to worry that it was some kind of terrifying death bacteria or something...

You're welcome. :) Yes, they can be stinky little buggers ! It's nice to see that it was something easy to resolve and have a happy ending. :)

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
