Black Bearding

So my little guy did a partial blackbeard yesterday when I was taking pictures of him.

Not sure how old he is, thinking probably 6 weeks or so since he's only about 7 inches long (snout to tip). Just wanted to know how old they have to be to start blackbearding? I didn't think they could at this age.

Mine figured it out around a week ago.idk how old he really is,but hes still a Baby and around 8.5 " snout to tailtip.
I found it actually a little cute cause he did it in his tank(temps,light everything fine) he was sitting on his basking cave and just started like swallowing air and then he black bearded.the same day we let hom run around in the livingroom(like every day) and then in the end my boyfriend wanted to pick him up to put him back in and the little guy showed him his beard and hissed!!i was so surprised but said "Noo" like you would say to a dog/kid to make them realize its bad behaviour.And you know what he finally picked him up without any issues and hes never done it again.I think you just got to make it clear that youre not afraid and touch /handle them anyways.
I still found it a kinda cute cause it was like a teenager testing how far he can go with his bad behaviour

Awww sounds adorable! Mine just opened his mouth and bearded a little at the camera when I was taking pictures. He's going to be a fierce little guy when he grows up!
