Black Bearding ALOT???

I have a bearded dragon who is almost 2 years, perfectly healthy, has a perfect setup (temps, humidity, size, etc). He hardly EVER blackbearded before and now he is ALWAYS black. We have another adult male beardie, Gryphon, but Gryphon was our first and Boggart is a rescue, so was the newcomer. They have lived aware of each others' existence (in separate tanks, obviously) for the past year, and while Gryphon made prominent displays of dominance, Boggart just kind of looked at him and turned away. Recently, Boggart has acted very aggressively (toward Gryphon) and has been black bearding even when Gryphon is not in sight. The only thing that has changed is that we moved and I built them a new dual viv out of an entertainment center, but the black bearding started before the move or the cage change (which happened simultaneously). Can someone tell me why this has started all of the sudden?

Hormones. You don't need to worry about it really IMO.

just keep them separated so they dont fight and you should be fine. just gotta display that he's taking charge of his area.

It's just strange because he's just started displaying dominance in the last few weeks. In the year that they've been together, he hasn't done it, so it was strange to us.
