Black beard???

So lately Luke (name pending) when i walk by the tank he like bows up and flexes. His beard will turn black or grey and his head bobs up and down. When i go over to the tank and put my hand in he climbs on my arm and onto my shoulder. Then everything is normal. I am wondering if anyone has had this happen and what it means? I think he is trying to get my attention but i dunno.

Yeah that just sounds like mood related head bobbing and beard flaring. If he goes back to normal quickly I wouldn't worry about it too much. Does this seem to be directed at you or just in general?

Not every time but often... Now that i think about it my wife is near me when he does it. Maybe he doesnt like her lol. Never tries to bite or anything but i am the one who cleans, feeds and cares for them 9o percent of the time

My oldest started doing that to my husband, seems like he recognised his beard as a dragon black beard and responded in kind ? great fun to watch the hubby and Peaches try to assert dominance, usually Peaches wins ? xx
