I received my beardie 2 months ago and he is now 9 months old. When I got him he was not well taken care of and he has grown alot since moving in with us :D . He is still only about 11 inches long though and I am wondering what worms he is big enough for because I am scared of all these choking horror stories :( . I have been just feeding him crix since I have had him and he does not seem to be getting bored but I want him to be as healthy as possible which mean variety.

What worms can an 11 inch, 9 month old eat?!? Thanks!

At 11 inches he can eat hornworms, silkworms (make sure these are appropriately sized, not the monster sized ones), phoenix worms (these are great, they don't get too big), and butterworms (these don't get too big either but are very pricey).

Can he eat mealworms? I can get some of those when I go to walmart next. I think they may be a little too long still but I could cut them in half and try them. They look like they have a hard outer shell, that's why I am asking and making sure. I dont want any complications!

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
